For my media trailer, myself and my group will be creating our own production company, as already blogged about we came to a decision that our production company name is going to be called 'loftlight productions', we are yet to create our logo for this etc. We have also been looking at other production companies to add in our trailer.
Intrepid pictures was the first production company that myself and my group looked at due it it first of all commonly used for horror films. The next reason being was because this production company is also the the production company of 'the strangers' film. This is important to us as we are making our trailer similar to the strangers film and would make sense to use the same production company.
Once again this production company also is used commonly for films in the horror genre. Some of Ghost House more recent production work includes "The Possession", "Drag me to Hell" and the remake of "The Evil Dead".
Screen Gems is an American film production company. Screen Gems have produced and distributed many Horror films, even though they have produced many horror films, most of them are remakes, for example the most up to date trailer I can think of is "Carrie". My movie trailer is not a remake so I am not sure whether this production company would be best for me.
